Safe Shoulders

There are a lot of press-ups in Ashtanga Yoga, so I think it’s really important to get some technique up front around this area – to prevent injuries.

I’ll give you lots of options in class, but please ask me if you aren’t sure where you should work in this pose.

I really like this video by Kino MacGregor teaching how to lower down from Plank to keep your shoulders safe, but don’t worry if you haven’t got the strength yet to do this as I’ll teach you how to modify it. I’ll show these modifications in future posts.
